News in Hotel Adler

In summer 2019 several new additions await guests to the Montafoner Hotel Adler, among them a natural alpine pool, newly renovated rooms to name but a few.

Covid-19 News

With a little personal responsibility and consideration, you can enjoy your holiday with us at the Hotel Gasthof Adler as usual. High safety and hygiene standards have always been part of our house. The health of you, our staff team and our family clearly come first.

You can find the Austrian guidelines and information in detail on the official website of the Federal Ministry of Tourism:

Alpine pool featuring mountain spring water at an agreeable temperature!

Our breathtaking and spacious natural pool is located next to the bio garden. It is fed by pure mountain water, which has been rigorously and biologically cleaned and warmed by the sun to an agreeable temperature! Use the 25m swimming area for sports training, or simply let yourself drift in the clear waters, watching the swallows and swifts circling overhead. Sunbathing lawns and boardwalks surround the bathing pool, while alpine beach shelters lovingly crafted from local wood, together with a spacious sandy beach terrace, make the stresses of daily life recede into insignificance. Swim, splash around, sunbathe and enjoy the fresh air, flower-filled meadows and stunning mountain scenery.

New pine-scented cottage-style traditional rooms and family suites

All the traditional rooms located in the old wing of the Adler have now been renovated to their original historical form.
Valuable wood panelling, beds of scented timber and historical furniture, all upholstered with the best natural textiles, combine to offer the welcoming feel of a centuries-old alpine architectural tradition.

Bio relaxation garden

Directly behind the hotel we have established a unique alpine garden covering some 6,000 sq m, surrounded by old orchards and the tumbling Tramosa stream. Laid out with a meticulous eye to the environment, a highly-scented selection of rare alpine flowers, herbs, trees and bushes thrive in this delightful natural oasis. Listen to the birds, count butterflies or simply linger and enjoy the stunning scenery with views of the Rhätikon and Silvretta mountain ranges.

New “open-view” wine cellar

Featuring almost 1,000 different wines, including a number of rarities from Austria and the rest of the world, our wine list was always very special. As of late, visitors can enjoy a direct “crystal clear” view of our renowned cellar, pretty much enabling them to take their pick for that special occasion as they stroll past!

Historical wooden summer house for the guest garden

In our summer guest garden we have built a beautiful little wooden shingle-roofed summerhouse, crafted in the traditional local style. Standing next to our lovely old lime tree, it offers a wonderfully shady place to escape from the heat of the midday sun, and the perfect spot to sit and chat. After sunset, what better place could there be to enjoy a meal in the cool hours of the evening?
