Adventures for young and old alike!
When the children are happy, the parents are happy. Exploring our family-friendly walking tracks guarantees fun and adventure for nature lovers of all ages.
"Muntafuner Gagla Weg" is a local dialect expression meaning "Montafon children's track".
Equipped with rucksack, binoculars, tape measure, compass, stop-watch and thermometer, children chart out their surroundings by completing various tasks. These adventure courses take 1- 2½ hours to complete (walking time only). At the end of each walk a pleasant surprise awaits.
Rucksacks may be hired free of charge (€30.00 refundable deposit) in Montafon Tourismus offices and also in Vandans and St. Anton im Montafon council offices.
A total of 9 exciting walking tracks for children are available. Further information is available in the PDF Gagla Weg.
Walking with llamas is a very special experience. Trekking tours with these sensitive and extremely sure-footed animals have been introduced to the Montafon by the successful llama breeder Horst Kuster.
Six different tours are available in the villages of Bartholomäberg and Silbertal. Horst Kuster accompanies the trekking tours himself, providing a fascinating insight into the area, its traditions, customs and inhabitants.
